Welcome to Women Healing Empowering Women (WHEW).

WHEW is on a mission to address interconnected challenges women face such as former incarceration, homelessness, and domestic violence, starting local going global.

WHEW's vision is to be an organization committed to empowering women globally through economic, educational, environmental, and cultural programs that work to end prison recidivism, homelessness, gender and ethnic biases, inter-generational poverty, the lack of access to adequate, and sufficient education.

WHEW has been sustained by a sister circle of women of color who use their personal, financial, and human resources to combat the complexity of problems that recently incarcerated and released women face. As WHEW seeks to expand their efforts to create larger programs for this
target group, it has become necessary to seek outside funding sources. WHEW’s present phase of development is focused on building an organizational IT infrastructure.
